Outriders

What can I say about Outriders, People Can Fly have definitely saved The Initiative a job, we now don’t need to worry about a Gears of War MMO because that’s exactly what this feels like and it is not a bad thing at all.

So, I’ve put about 10 hours into Outriders and it is now starting to grab hold, it was interesting and relatively fun from the beginning but I now feel like it’s starting to open up. The colour palette initially turned me off but I am starting to see flakes of colour and they pop a whole lot more, making their appearance so satisfying. The gun play is excellent, the gameplay loop is as repetitive as any MMO and was to be expected, alas the story feels a bit weak but we shall see how it unfolds.

This isn’t so much a review as a placeholder, like any that appear in this category and my final verdict will come later but so far I am enjoying it quite a lot.
